Present status of the computing environment for the experimental instruments in J-PARC/MLF

J-PARC/MLF実験装置計算環境の現状

The first neutron was produced on May 2008, the first muon was extracted on September 2008 and the operation for the first user program started on December 2008 in J-PARC/MLF. The beam power of proton are increasing from 4.3kW to 120kW and the number of the experimental instruments are increasing from 8 to 14. Many users started the experiments in each instrument and measured the data. Under these situations, we have equipped several systems in the MLF computing environment, (1) the software development management server, (2) the prototype of the distributed data processing system, (3) the prototype of the experimental metadata and sample management system with database, (4) the MLF common storage. In this presentation, we will report the present status of the MLF computing environment and the detail of these systems and future upgrade.
