We have discovered a new regime of high-order harmonic generation in gas jet targets driven by multi-TW femtosecond lasers. In this presentation, we discuss the results of recent experiments demonstrating bright off-axis ($$approx 13^{circ}$$) XUV harmonic emission. High-resolution harmonic source imaging reveals that the radiation is emitted by tiny sub-$$mu$$m sources, in accordance with the model prediction.
