Magnetic and electronic properties of URuSi revealed by comparison with nonmagnetic references ThRuSi and LaRuSi

NMR/NQR measurements have been carried out on ThRuSi and LaRuSi which are the nonmagnetic references of the heavy fermion URuSi. Ru-NQR measurements suggest the relatively close electronic configuration between ThRuSi and URuSi at high temperature. However, significant delocalization was observed in URuSi at low temperatures. Si-NMR experiments on URuSi revealed Ising-like spin fluctuations in the hidden-order state.
