Recent activity on R&D of pyrochemical treatment of spent nitride fuels for MA transmutation in JAEA

原子力機構における使用済MA核変換用窒化物燃料乾式処理技術の研究開発状況

原子力機構における使用済MA核変換用窒化物燃料乾式処理技術の研究開発状況について報告する。その内容は、窒化物の溶融塩電解工程に適した陽極、及び電解回収したTRU-Cd合金から窒化物を製造するための装置の開発についてである。

This paper overviews current status and recent activity on development of pyrochemical treatment of spent nitride fuels for MA transmutation in JAEA. Recent studies devoted to the development of the anode suitable for nitride fuels, from which nitrogen gas is released by the electrorefining, and that of the renitridation apparatus suitable for scale-up.
