Application of ICP-MS to analytical methods for samples from 1F site at "Okuma Analysis and Research Center"

Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) sets up "Okuma analysis and research Center" next to Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (1F). The laboratory provides analytical results of radioactive isotopic contents in the rubbles collected in the 1F site. Analytical data are necessary for disposal of the radioactive wastes. Two analytical schemes, radiation counting and ICP-QMS, were compared. ICP-QMS method has an advantage of the separation scheme to be simple and fast.
