samples were synthesized under high-pressure and high-temperature conditions. Synchrotron X-ray diffraction and Rietveld refinement results demonstrated that NiVO
underwent a continuous structural phase transition from the triclinic (
) phase to the rhombohedral (
) phase at 450 K. This transition is concomitant with the decomposition of the V-V dimers formed by the tetravalent V ions. X-ray absorption spectroscopy measurements confirmed that the Ni and V ions were divalent and tetravalent, respectively. Magnetic and specific heat measurements revealed that NiVO
underwent an antiferromagnetic transition at 140 K, and a zigzag-type magnetic order with magnetic propagation vector
=(0,1/2,0) was observed by neutron diffraction measurements.

The difference spectra around a Pt L edge due to oxygen adsorption are recorded, and a lowering in the Pt-O antibonding level by the ion irradiation is observed, thus resulting in a weakening of the Pt-O bond. This indicates that the introduction of vacancies in the carbon support would result in weak Pt-O bonds assumable through the stronger Pt-C interaction, which is considered to enhance the oxygen reduction reaction activity of the deposited Pt nanoparticles. Theoretical studies have demonstrated that the vacancies affect Pt through the Pt-C interaction and then result in the weakening of the Pt-O bond.

Experiment of a floating seismic isolation technology for application to small modular reactor (SMR) is conducted on a small-scale apparatus. The SMR is assumed to be located on land rather than offshore, and installed on a newly proposed floating structure in a pool. The floating structure is designed acts to mitigate the propagation of the horizontal component of seismic motion between the ground and the SMR buildings, and to reduce the excitation force on the buildings caused by the vertical wave propagation through water of vertical seismic motion. The floating structure was designed to have a gaseous space called Air Cavity and orifice at the bottom of the structure. Experiment is conducted to verify the effect of the floating structure on reduction to vertical seismic motions. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the Air Cavity and orifice to reduce response during vertical earthquake motion, and those method is more reduce response than Compared to using only Air Cavity. Thus these method were founds an isolating effect against vertical seismic motion, and it is considered that result in this study will help SMR.

被引用回数:15 パーセンタイル:91.30(Physics, Multidisciplinary)We experimentally and theoretically demonstrate that nonlinear spin-wave interactions suppress the hybrid magnon-photon quasiparticle or "magnon polariton" in microwave spectra of an yttrium iron garnet film detected by an on-chip split-ring resonator. We observe a strong coupling between the Kittel and microwave cavity modes in terms of an avoided crossing as a function of magnetic fields at low microwave input powers, but a complete closing of the gap at high powers. The experimental results are well explained by a theoretical model including the three-magnon decay of the Kittel magnon into spin waves. The gap closure originates from the saturation of the ferromagnetic resonance above the Suhl instability threshold by a coherent back reaction from the spin waves.

At first, the technical development was reviewed. Secondly, the usage of the WAND method was introduced, in which the successful extraction of hydrogen atomic positions was described. The third example is to show the importance for the hybrid combination of these two diffraction methods. Finally, the application of WAND technique in the trace of structural changes induced under the application of external stress or temperature was described. The future perspective is described for the development of structural science of synthetic polymers on the basis of the combined WAXD/WAND techniques.

The flows are classified into 5 flow regimes, namely, bubbly, finely dispersed bubbly, cap-bubbly, churn and annular flows according to their different flow characteristics. Transition criteria between the flow regimes are proposed mechanistically. Those criteria can correctly predict 83% of the existing experimental observation of the flow regime. The drift-flux correlations for the distribution parameter and the drift velocity are also improved. The void fractions predicted by those correlations are compared with the existing experimental data, showing satisfactory agreement with mean relative error of 8%.

プルトニウム燃料第三開発室は、高速実験炉「常陽」及び高速増殖原型炉「もんじゅ」のMOX燃料製造を目的に昭和63年に運転を開始した施設であり、非密封の核燃料物質を大量に取り扱う大型のグローブボックスが設置された。これらのグローブボックス窓板には「使用施設等の位置、構造及び設備の基準に関する規則」の施行(平成25年12月)以降に設置するものを除き、アクリル(可燃性)が用いられている。グローブボックス内の火災に対しては、建設当初からハロゲン化物消火設備による自動消火システムを導入しているが、グローブボックスの外側からの火災に対して、アクリルの直接的な対策が課題であった。そのため、可能な限りグローブボックスの外側からの火災に対するグローブボックス窓板への影響を軽減する火災対策シートを開発、最終的には難燃性のシートを実装した。開発の着眼点は、不燃又は難燃シートに粘着材を塗布した複合材で不燃又は難燃性を有していること。また、使用環境(核燃料物質からのガンマ線、蛍光灯からの紫外線)で劣化が著しくないこと、グローブ作業での作業員の視認性を確保できる透明なシートであること等とした。これらの火災対策シートを貼り付けたアクリル板の火災損傷防止試験及び火災対策シートを用いた使用環境影響試験を行い、良好な結果を得た。一方、火災対策シートの貼り付け作業等における外部被ばくを低減する観点から、プルトニウム燃料技術開発センター内にワーキンググループを立ち上げ、施工試験等で効率的な施工を実現する方法を検討・試行し、作業の標準化を図り、基本手順書にまとめた。本報告書は、グローブボックス窓板用火災対策シートに係る火災損傷防止試験及び使用環境影響試験と、施工性試験等を通じて得られた知見を取りまとめたものである。

中性子基礎物理学において、パリティ非保存(PNC)項や時間反転非保存項と干渉する中性子スピンと標的核スピン

の偏極が得られるキセノン(Xe)は、本研究にとって興味深い原子核である。我々は小型SEOPシステムを用いた偏極Xe標的を開発し、核破砕中性子源で得られる大強度の熱外中性子ビームを利用した
項の研究を計画している。その第一段階として、我々は
Xeの9.6eV共鳴ピーク付近でのXe偏極時と非偏極時の中性子透過率比の変化
を捕らえることで、
項に起因する中性子偏極能力の測定をJ-PARC物質・生命科学実験施設(MLF)のBL10で試みた。実験では、本測定系がドップラーブロードニングの影響(
)を検知できることを実証した上で、初期結果として有意な

The equilibrium phase diagram of Fe-C binary alloy calculated using Thermo-Calc exhibited dissolving of cementite above 700 K. Moreover, in-situ heating neutron diffraction measurement demonstrated the increase of lattice parameter by dissolving of cementite above 700 K. Therefore, it can be concluded that the characteristic hardening above 700 K can be attributed to the solid solute carbon.

X線光電子分光法における時空間的な測定・解析技術を開発した。はじめに、NAP-HARPES (Near Ambient Pressure Hard X-ray Angle-Resolved Photo Emission Spectroscopy)データにより、ゲート積層膜界面の時分割深さプロファイル法を開発した。この手法を用いて時分割ARPESデータからピークフィッティングとデプスプロファイリングを迅速に行う手法を確立し、4D-XPS解析を実現した。その結果、従来の最大エントロピー法(MEM)とスパースモデリングのジャックナイフ平均法を組み合わせることで、深さ方向プロファイルを高精度に実現できることがわかった。

He gas-filling station was constructed at J-PARC, and several
He cells with long spin relaxation times have been fabricated using the gas-filling station. A laboratory has been prepared in the MLF beam hall for polarizing
He cells, and compact pumping systems with laser powers of 30 W and 110 W, which can be installed onto a neutron beamline, have been developed. A
He polarization of 85% was achieved at a neutron beamline by using the pumping system with the 110 W laser. Recently, the first user experiment utilizing the
He spin filter was conducted, and there have been several more since then. The development and utilization of
He spin filters at MLF of J-PARC are reported.

Crystal structure and magnetic property of UPt

is investigated. A single crystal X-ray diffraction experiment identified the hexagonal unit cell with a disordered structure in the uranium containing layer. A series of superstructure reflections were found. They are successfully indexed as (

/3 0), however, with a streak along the
direction. A layered structure model containing honeycomb arrangement of uranium atoms is proposed. Preliminary magnetization measurements on a polycrystalline sample are also presented.

原子核が熱外中性子を共鳴吸収する反応において、弱い相互作用起因のパリティ対称性の破れが核子間相互作用の最大10倍増幅される現象が観測されている。この反応では時間反転対称性の破れにも同様の増幅効果があることが理論的に予言されており、全く新しい手法で未知の時間反転対称性の破れを世界最高感度で探索できる可能性がある。しかし、その増幅率は全ての核種で未知であり、この手法がもつ可能性を具体的に議論できていなかった。本研究ではJ-PARC, MLF, BL04のGe検出器群を用いて、
La(n,
)反応の角度分布測定を行い、世界で初めて
Laで時間反転対称性の破れの増幅率を求めることに成功した。この結果を用いて、実験に必要な測定時間を見積もると、偏極率40%のLa核偏極技術、偏極率70%, 79atm・cmの
He Spin Filterを用意すれば、1.4日の測定で世界最高感度で時間反転対称性の破れ探索実験が可能であることが判明した。現在原子力機構では高性能な
He Spin Filterの開発を行なっており、本発表では
線の角度分布測定の結果、及び共用ビームラインに適用するための
He Spin Filterの開発の現状について発表する。

The local void fraction, interfacial area concentration (IAC), bubble diameter and bubble velocity vector were measured by using a four-sensor optical probe. Based on an existing state-of-the-art four-sensor probe methodology with the characteristic to count small bubbles, IAC in this study was derived more reliably than those in the existing studies. In addition, bubble velocity vector could be measured by the methodology. Based on this database, flow characteristics were investigated. The area-averaged void fraction and IAC were compared with the predictions from the drift-flux model and the IAC correlations, respectively. The applicability of those to the rod bundle flow channel was evaluated.

共通技術開発セクションでは、J-PARC物質・生命科学実験施設の大強度中性子を活用するために、偏極中性子デバイスの一つであるHeスピンフィルターの開発を行なっている。
Heスピンフィルターの性能評価の一つの手段に、基礎物理分野での応用・評価があり、基礎物理実験も活用している。現在の物質優勢宇宙を説明するためには時間反転対称性の破れが不可欠であり、世界中で時間反転対称性の破れの探索実験が行われている。その一つに偏極中性子と原子核を使用して対称性の破れを測定する方法があり、J-PARCの大強度中性子を用いた時間反転対称性の破れ探索が計画されている。本計画では1eV程度のエネルギーの高い中性子を偏極するための従来にない巨大な
Heスピンフィルターを開発する必要があり、原子力機構にて開発が行われている
Heスピンフィルターの性能評価の良い検証となる。現在、偏極率の精度の良い評価システムや
Heスピンフィルター製作のための真空システムの構築を行い、熱外中性子偏極のための大型スピンフィルターの開発を継続している。本発表では
Heスピンフィルターの開発の現状について発表する。

被引用回数:15 パーセンタイル:98.57(Quantum Science & Technology)High precision measurements of the ground state hyperfine structure (HFS) of muonium is a stringent tool for testing bound-state quantum electrodynamics (QED) theory, determining fundamental constants of the muon magnetic moment and mass, and searches for new physics. Muonium is the most suitable system to test QED because both theoretical and experimental values can be precisely determined. Previous measurements were performed decades ago at LAMPF with uncertainties mostly dominated by statistical errors. At the J-PARC Muon Science Facility (MUSE), the MuSEUM collaboration is planning complementary measurements of muonium HFS both at zero and high magnetic field. The new high-intensity muon beam that will soon be available at H-Line will provide an opportunity to improve the precision of these measurements by one order of magnitude. An overview of the different aspects of these new muonium HFS measurements, the current status of the preparation for high-field measurements, and the latest results at zero field are presented.
