The purpose of this natural analogue study is to utilize the archeological metal materials for long term prediction of corrosion behavior of metal in bentonite. From the year before last, the laboratory tests have been continued for utilizing the natural analogue data gotten from the Dohtaku (Bronze Bell) excavated at Shimoda remains in Sakai city. This year, the influence of temperature on the polarization behavior and the corrosion behavior of copper buried in bentonite are tested. These results are the first case to utilize the archeological metal materials for natural analogue. It is necessary to acquire more data for the detailed evaluation.
