高校生による人形峠環境技術センターに関するエスノグラフィ研究

人形峠におけるウラン燃料の開発事業を題材に、地元の高校生がエスノグラフィ手法を用いて調べた。ウランの開発に取り組んだ技術者や地元の人々といった社会集団に焦点を当て、50年前にウラン鉱床の露頭が発見されてからの人形峠の歩みや今日の状況について描出した。また高校生によるこうしたエスノグラフィ研究の取り組みにより、人形峠を取り巻く地域コミュニケーションの活性化にも効果が見られた。

An ethnographical research was conducted by the regional high school students for the Ningyo-Toge uranium production facilities. The research was focused on several social groups around Ningyo-Toge such as engineers in the facilities and residents and described past and present circumstances there from the time firstly discovered an uranium ore 50 years ago. In addition, it should be noted that regional communication around Ningyo-Toge were activated while the research project was conducted.
