本報告書は、研究所建設用地変更後の研究所計画の地上からの調査研究段階を通して得られた知識及び経験をもとに、地上からの調査段階における計画の立案,現場監理,品質保証のあり方や計画を円滑に推進するためのステークホルダーとのかかわり方など、プロジェクト管理にかかわる分野の教訓を、基となった事例を含めて取りまとめたとともに、第2段階以降の研究所計画のプロジェクト管理のあり方について提言するものである。

This report concentrates on lessons learnt based on the knowledge and experiences related to project management for surface-based investigation gained during the first phase of the MIU Project at the new URL construction site for FY 2002-2004, and proposes several ideas to improve project management manner in future phases.
