溶融LiCl-Li$$_{2}$$O浴中におけるZrO$$_{2}$$の挙動

溶融LiCl-Li$$_{2}$$O浴中でZrO$$_{2}$$は、Li$$_{2}$$O濃度に応じてLi$$_{2}$$ZrO$$_{3}$$やLi$$_{8}$$ZrO$$_{6}$$等の複合酸化物を形成した。また、電解還元よってZrO$$_{2}$$は金属Zrに還元されるが、いったん複合酸化物を形成すると還元できないことがわかった。

Zirconium dioxide formed complex oxide like Li$$_{2}$$ZrO$$_{3}$$ or Li$$_{8}$$ZrO$$_{6}$$ according to the concentration of Li$$_{2}$$O in the LiCl-Li$$_{2}$$O melt. It was clarified that ZrO$$_{2}$$ could be reduced to metal and formed lithium zirconate was difficult to be reduced by electrolytic reduction operations.
