「もんじゅ」は、第1段階で燃料体を燃料池に貯蔵することにより化学的に活性な液体ナトリウムを保有する炉心等に燃料体が存在する残留リスクを除去し、2023年度より廃止措置第2段階へ移行した。今後も廃止措置の進捗に伴い、プラントのリスクは変化することから、廃止措置の各段階におけるプラント状態を整理して「もんじゅ」における性能維持施設の考え方を策定し、第2段階で必要となる性能維持施設を見直した。
