本発表では、資源エネルギー庁受託により進めている国内ATF開発を紹介するとともに、現在産官学により国内で進められているATF研究開発の全体概要を提示し、各ステイクホルダーが担っている役割、各ステイクホルダー間の関係性や連携協力の状況等の共有を図る。以って、2030年代のATF実装化をより確実なものにすることを念頭に、今後の研究・技術開発の効率的・効果的な推進、とりわけ、想定していなかった課題/問題が生じた場合にどのような基礎基盤に立ち返って研究を進めるか、などの議論につなげることを企図する。

In this presentation, we will introduce Accident-Tolerant Fuel (ATF) research and development (R&D) program in Japan, which is supported by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan. In addition, we will present an overall overview of ATF R&D currently being conducted in Japan by industry, government, and academia, and share information such as the roles played by each stakeholder, the relationship between each stakeholder, and the status of cooperation in each stakeholder. Based on the those information, we intend to discuss how efficiently and effectively we can promote the future ATF research and technology development, in particular, what kind of fundamental study is effective in solving the unexpected issue or problem.
