Ti上での硝酸溶液の還元反応に及ぼす各種イオン濃度の影響

沸騰硝酸中でのチタンの溶解挙動、特に還元反応に関しての知見は少ない。そこで硝酸溶液中におけるチタン上での還元反応に注目し、硝酸溶液中に存在するイオン(H$$^{+}$$, NO$$_{3}$$$$^{-}$$, HNO$$_{2}$$)濃度を変化させた硝酸溶液中でチタンのカソード分極曲線を測定し、各種イオンの反応次数やターフェル勾配からチタン上での硝酸の還元反応機構について検討した。チタン上における硝酸の還元挙動は白金上で提案されている反応機構では説明できず、チタンの酸化皮膜が関与している可能性を示した。

Corrosion mechanism of titanium in boiling nitric acid, especially the reduction mechanism of nitrate on titanium has not been studied well. Cathodic polarization curve on titanium was measured in nitric acid with different concentrations of ions exist in nitric acid (H$$^{+}$$, NO$$_{3}$$$$^{-}$$, HNO$$_{2}$$), and the reduction mechanism of nitrate on titanium was investigated from Tafel slope and reaction order of each ions. The reduction mechanism of nitrate on titanium was not explained by that on platinum. It may be considered that titanium oxide layer is involved in reduction mechanism of nitrate on titanium.
