Magnetization study in the heavy fermion superconductor NpPdAl

We present the magnetization study of NpPdAl in the low-temperature and high-field region. A capacitance Faraday magnetometer was developed for the transuranium compound where the radioactive sample is encapsulated. Magnetization curves can be measured for a tiny single crystal with the mass typically less than 1 mg. We succeeded to observe a clear magnetization process in the superconducting state showing a large hysteresis loop and a clear anomaly at $H_{rm c2}$ .
