Magnetic imaging study of a grain-oriented electric steel using polarized pulsed neutrons

Grain-oriented (GO) electric steels are widely used in electromagnetic devices and are key materials that determine their performance. Since the magnetic properties of a GO steel are closely related to its magnetic domain structure, observation of the domain is important for understanding and improving its magnetic properties. In this presentation, we introduce our magnetic imaging method using polarized pulsed neutrons and show some results observing an internal magnetic domain structure of a GO steel sheet.
