本WGでは、国際放射線防護学会(以下「IRPA」)が加盟学会に向けて、2020年に発行した"Practical Guidance for Engagement with the Public on Radiation and Risk"(以下「IRPAガイダンス」)を日本語に翻訳し、国内の放射線防護専門家をはじめとした本テーマに関心を有する関係者へ情報を提供することを目的とし、作業を進めてきた。IRPAガイダンスの内容については2020年6月に行われた保健物理学会企画シンポジウムで発表し、多くの専門家の方々に聴講いただき、ご意見をいただいた。本企画セッションではpublic engagementと関連する具体例/状況にテーマを絞り議論を進める。なお、ガイダンス全体の活動報告はポスターでの発表を予定しているので、併せてご確認いただきたい。

The WG has translated the "Practical Guidance for Engagement with the Public on Radiation and Risk" ("IRPA Guidance") issued by the International Radiation Protection Association ("IRPA") to its member societies in 2020. "The content of the IRPA guidance was presented at a symposium organized by the Health Physics Society of Japan in June 2020.
