For development of innovative nuclear reactors, such as fast breeder reactors or accelerator driven systems, there are strong requests for the improvement of the accuracy on the neutron capture cross-sections of minor actinides (MAs) and long-lived fission products (LLFP). To satisfy these requests, we have constructed a Ge-spectrometer at the accurate neutron-nucleus reaction instrument (ANNRI) in the J-PARC MLF. We have performed a first measurement of the neutron capture cross-section of $$^{244}$$Cm and $$^{246}$$Cm at the ANNRI. The amount of the sample in chemical form of $$^{244}$$CmO$$_2$$ is as small as 0.6 mg, its activity 1.8 GBq, and its isotopic purity 91.6%. Capture $$gamma$$ rays from the sample and an Al dummy capsule were measured using the spectrometer. In this talk, we report a very preliminary neutron capture cross-section of $$^{244}$$Cm and $$^{246}$$Cm in the neutron energy range from 1 eV up to 300 eV was obtained.
