希釈人工海水中での照射済燃料被覆管(Zry-2)の孔食挙動を孔食電位測定により調査した。未照射材に比べ孔食電位は高くなった。表面傷の有無が孔食電位値に影響したことから、照射時に形成された酸化皮膜が塩化物イオンによる孔食発生の障壁となっていることが明らかとなった。

Pitting potential of irradiated fuel cladding tube (Zry-2) was measured in diluted artificial seawater. The pitting potential was higher than that of non-irradiated Zry-2. Pitting corrosion was inhibited by the oxide film formed during irradiation, since scratches on the surface affect pitting potential.
